I finally graduated from college after 10 months of never ending tests and assignments so me and my two other course mates decided that we should go on a short trip to Bangkok together last Monday. Yes I know, I've just been to Bangkok few months ago but it's just a really good city for us ladies who love to shop and eat!
We arrived at the airport around 1.15pm but we were stuck in the long queue going through customs so we could only head to the hotel at around 3.30pm. We stayed in Lemontea Hotel which is really near to many local restaurants and shopping malls so it was very convenient for us to go anywhere we want. It was RM250 per night for 3 person for a double room with an extra bed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those who are planning on visiting Bangkok anytime soon since it's so near to many malls and restaurants and not to mention the hotel is very clean which is my first priority lmao *55 Soi Petchburi15 Petchburi Rd., Ratchthevi Bangkok*
After checking in and putting our luggages in our room we called a Uber to fetch us to a restaurant in Phetchaburi Road that is famous for its tomyum noodles. After getting stuck in the jam for 30 minutes when we could've walked 15 minutes there and having some complications with our driver who couldn't understand English, we arrived at the restaurant realising it wasn't open. We walked around the area eating snacks from the stalls by the street while looking for a place to have our dinner.

We found a Thai restaurant, Jae Koy Som Tum *362 Soi Phetchaburi 7, Phetchaburi Rd.* somewhere around that area which seemed pretty decent. The price is very very reasonable and the food is not too bad, it was 400 baht (MYR50) for four dishes *I left out the omelette*

The next morning I woke up unusually earlier and since my friends were still sleeping I decided to have a walk around the hotel by myself.
When my friends finally woke up we had our lunch in a chicken rice shop, Kaiton, which was recommended by most websites and blogs. It was only 40 baht (MYR5) for one plate so I wasn't expecting much from it. *960-962 Phetchaburi Rd, Khwaeng Makkasan, Khet Ratchathewi*
After our meal we went to the malls in the Siam area. We stopped by at Social Discovery in Siam Discovery which is an interactive exhibition that displays your Instagram pictures on a wall of LED screen. It's actually really exciting to see everything that I've shared on IG appear on one wall.
We had tea at After You in Siam Square One (yes, again) which is a dessert cafe recommended by almost everyone who has been to Bangkok. This time we ordered Thai tea flavoured kakigori since they don't have the mango sticky rice flavour anymore and also Ferrero honey toast.
Ferrero Honey Toast - it was so gooooood
Thai Tea Kakigori
The next morning we finally got to try the tomyum noodles that we missed on out first day at P'Aor !! I ordered their seafood tomyum noodles which was 80 baht (MYR10) for one bowl. It's actually very expensive for one small bowl and I still felt hungry even after finishing every bit of the noodle. *68/51, Soi Phetchaburi 5, Thung Phaya Thai, Khet Ratchathewi*
We shopped for hours in Platinum Mall and had our lunch at their food court when we felt tired and hungry. The food is not bad and pretty cheap for a food court in a shopping mall.
We got really tired after so much of shopping so we headed back to our hotel to rest and accidentally took a long nap instead. When we woke up it was already dinner time so we went to have our dinner in Kalpapruek at Central World. The food is really good but also too spicy for me to handle :(
We had beef noodles in a restaurant that we searched up on Foursquare before continuing our shopping the next morning. They are pretty good except that they have some organs in them that we weren't really sure of what they are. It's 70 baht (MYR9) for one bowl. I have no clue what the restaurant is called because everything in the place is in Thai and they don't have an English name either.
We went to Siam Center when we were done with shopping in Platinum and had our lunch there in Som Tam Nua. Their food was okay and it was too spicy for me but I really liked their fried chicken.
Since we had nothing to do anymore we decided to join the long queue at Pablo Cheese Tart in Siam Paragon. We waited 30 minutes just to get three mini cheese tarts but it was definitely worth it ! It was so good but I was too full to have more.
For our last dessert in Bangkok we had mango dessert (forgot the cafe's name) Mango ice cream, mango pudding and mango sticky rice all on one plate !
I'm pretty satisfied with the items that I've bought this trip even though it's not a lot because I left my money back at home :-) how smart...
Got myself a blusher, a liquid lipstick from NYX and a marble iPhone cover
Blusher from too cool for school which can't be found in Malaysia stores
It comes with a puff at the bottom of the container !!
Clothes from Platinum Mall
For this trip I've spent roughly a total of MYR700 on shopping, food and transport. It could've been cheaper if we had walked or travelled by the SkyTrain but we were just too tired and lazy so we travelled in Tuktuk or taxi most of the time :-))) Well I guess that's it for this trip to Bangkok! I'm sorry that most of my photos have poor quality, I was too lazy to use my camera for photos :-( I'll be having more travel blog posts coming up soon so stay tuned !!
