Too Faced Born This Way Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer Review

It's so hard to find the perfect concealer for my skin that covers up my bad dark circles, doesn't crease into the fine lines on my under eyes and doesn't get cakey 3 minutes after I apply it on my oily skin. My skin just hates concealers and I usually use BB cushions to hide my panda eyes for a sheer but more natural coverage. During Sephora's 20% sale, I bought myself the Too Faced Born This Way Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer which is highly recommended on the internet.

This super coverage concealer not only conceals, but also contours, highlights and retouches. It claims to give you a flawless and natural finish while providing full coverage. It's supposed to be weightless and hydrating so your skin won't feel dry or cakey.  I got it in the shade Vanilla to use it as a concealer. It is slightly warmer than my skin tone but it works a bit like a colour corrector on my under eyes.

The packaging is so classy and it looks expensive. It's in a big bottle, close to the size of a foundation. It contains 15ml of product which is more than your regular concealer so it's definitely worth the money. It has a huge applicator that I don't really like because it always dirties the opening of the bottle.

applicator
This concealer is SOO pigmented that it's difficult to blend when I apply it directly on my skin even if it's just a dot so I usually put some product on the back of my hand first, then use my finger to apply it on my skin. It blends better for me that way and I can slowly build it up until I get my desired coverage.

this is all just in one swipe, it's so pigmented!
It's creamy and very pigmented, it covers my dark circles really well. I tried using this without a foundation, it does crease into the fine lines on my under eyes and it looks cakey up close. When I used it to cover the blemishes on my nose, it emphasised on my pores. However, with a primer, it creases lesser and looks smoother on my skin. When I have foundation under it, it blends more nicely and looks more natural. I always set the areas where I applied this concealer with powder, it lasts longer even though it also makes it look even more cakey. I don't feel nothing completely but it doesn't feel heavy either, at least I could say it doesn't make me feel uncomfortable. At the end of the day, it does fade a little especially on more oily areas but it still covers my under eyes really well.

without concealer
concealed my under eyes and my nose
close up, you can see the fine lines on my under eyes and the blemish on my nose is still visible
after 7 hours
close up after 7 hours, you can see my dark circles are slightly more visible now, blemish on my nose is more obvious too
Overall, the concealer has really amazing coverage but it does look cakey when you look close enough. It doesn't stay on for the whole day especially on my oily areas and I wouldn't say this is the perfect concealer for me, but I do use this quite often on my under eyes because it hides them so well.
